In the context of today's depressed economies, aging infrastructure, shifting demographics, environmental stresses, changing climate, and uncertain energy prices and availability, the need to plan for the long-term resiliency of New York's communities is increasingly vital to ensure future growth and success. Our research initiative engages local governments, organizations and community members in identifying needs and working towards the development of a scalable and adaptable systems-based approach to sustainable community development and redevelopment for New York State and beyond.
